NOVATEM : an innovative system

NOVATEM is a unique Time Domain electromagnetic (TDEM) system with receiving loops located in zero field, close to the transmitter (central loop configuration).

The NOVATEM transmitter uses a unique configuration providing both ‘on-time ' and 'off-time ' measurements and recording the B field for the mapping of ultra conductive ore-bodies. This configuration provides both high resolutions for EM sounding and great penetrating depths for EM exploration:

• EM sounding to delineate conductivity contrasts or hydrothermal alterations;
• EM prospecting to locate massive sulphide or metal deposits at great depths.
